Parrot Punch is a theatre company of three early career fight choreographers who have come together to make theatre using fight choreography as the genesis of their devising process. Their first show ‘Let’s Not Fight About It’ interrogates our relationship with violence in life and in entertainment.

Someone gets kicked in the balls. Somebody gets punched in the tit. Swashbucklers swordfight so hard their trousers fall down. Violence is funny! It exists unquestioned throughout all our media, from superheroes, to the news, to our Instagram stories. Innovative stage combat theatre company Parrot Punch asks us to recognize the stories of violence we get told. What does it mean when they are told for our entertainment? Meet the Parrots
Founding Member
Jason Theodoulou
Jason is an actor, theatre maker, and fight choreographer. He trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, completing the BA (Hons) Acting: Collaborative and Devised Theatre course, created in association with Complicité.
He went on to train extensively with the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat (BASSC), becoming an Advanced Actor-Combatant and earning distinctions in all weapon systems. He is currently training to become a certified BASSC stage combat instructor.
Outside of 'punching parrots', Jason recently fight directed Good Girls Don’t Go to Hell, which premiered at The Divine. He is also part of the stunt team for Season 3 of Ren: The Girl with the Mark

Martha Ibbotson
Actor, Theatre maker and Fight Director.
Martha trained on the BA (Hons) Acting course at Fourth Monkey. She is a Certified BASSC Advanced Actor Combatant and serves on the BASSC Executive Committee.
Other than 'beating birds', Martha can be found choreographing fights for Secret Shakespeare (on in Reading, Summer 2025) and Shakespeare Unstaged (every third Friday at Theatre Deli).

Matthew Allen
Matthew is a Physical theatre and devising specialist. He also trained as an actor on the BA (Hons) Acting Collaborative Devised Theatre at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He is a Certified BASSC Actor-Combatant, with distinctions in multiple weapons. He has worked closely with Emma Rice's Wise Children, Mischief Theatre, Birmingham Stage Company and Matthew Bourne. When he isn't 'slapping seagulls', he's probably throwing swords around on another panto.

Adrian Greensmith
Adrian recently directed the multi-5 star reviewed WEREWOLF SIGHTED IN PORT TALBOT. He is an actor, deviser, and musician with a focus on building community for artists. He is a founding member of the Sharing and Caring collective, a London based project that creates a weekly space for artists to teach one another, share work and ideas, and find company. Originally from Brooklyn, he trained at RCSSD’s Collaborative and Devised theatre course. He has acted in leading roles for Netflix and Amazon streaming services, as well as at the New York City Center theatre.
Fluid, flirty, and hilarious, this stage combat theatre company blends jaw-dropping action with sharp wit. Their seamless choreography and bold storytelling bring energy, charm, and a spark of mischief to every performance.
